Save Our Space - Open Meeting - Motions

After the Comments and Questions session, a number of motions were tabled and voted on. Here they are:

1. That the plan be withdrawn
   Carried with no objections.

2. That there should be proper consultation with the local community and local expertise , looking grants and funding
   Carried with no objections.

3. That SHDC should implement their " Community Involvement Policy"
   Carried with no objections.

4. Community should bring forward their own plan, in accordance with needs of the community and present through SOS.
   Carried, with three objections.

5. This meeting wishes to receive a detailed response to the points raised in this meeting from SHDC. The response from SHDC should go on the SOS website.
   Carried with no objections.
   (A point was raised here - were the members of the Development Control Committee present at the SOS meeting? Susie responded that they had all personally been invited)

6. That those at the meeting should write to SHDC councillors and that there should be an SOS presence at a Development Control Committee meeting at an appropriate time
   Carried with no objections.

7. That an independent environmental impact assessment (EIA) and archaeological, habitat and hydrological surveys should also be carried out.
   Carried with no objections.
