Cameras requiring special treatment by STICK and ACID
Certain pairs of cameras cannot be distinguished by ACID and STICK because the EXIF information in their photos is identical. As a result using a photo to download or install a CHDK build causes problems - the wrong build will be installed. Currently this problem affects the following pairs:
- the Powershot N and the Powershot Facebook N
- the Ixus 132 (also known as the Elph 115) and the Ixus 135 (also known as the Elph 120)
In each case a photo taken by the second camera of the pair will be falsely recognised as being taken with the first camera of the pair.
To solve this problem I have created some special photos that when dropped will be properly recognised and thus allow the correct build to be downloaded or installed. So if you have a Powershot Facebook N or an Ixus 135 camera don't use a photo taken with your camera, instead download the appropriate photo below and use that instead.
