Zeno's Documents
As well as writing software, I've also spent a lot of time writing text. As well as a book, I developed and wrote the course notes for dozens of training courses.
I've written programmer's guides and user guides for many programs and in the 1990s a number of research papers. Most of the latter are in the public domain, and you can download some of them from here:
- D. Mitchell, "A Component Approach to Embedded Awareness and Conversation",

available as aZIPPed postscript file - M. Day, J. Patterson, D. Mitchell, "The Notification Service Transfer Protocol (NSTP): infrastructure for synchronous groupware",

Finally, there's a Java Tutorial I wrote in 1995/96. You can find the material for it here.
